Joint Women’s Charter For Lok Sabha Elections 2019 - Slams BJP Government For False Promises of “Achhe Din”

12 Mar 2019

What

Dear Friends,

Women’s organisations regard the 17th General Elections to be held in 2019 as one of the most difficult challenges in front of all secular democratic forces in the country and an opportunity at the same time to dislodge the nightmarish regime of violence, fear, hunger and unemployment unleashed by the RSS-BJP dominated Modi government in the last five years. Faced with their deliberate policy of destruction of the democratic and secular fabric of the country and the dreams of equality and emancipation for all sections that inspired our freedom struggle, women’s organisations will present this charter of demands to all political parties in opposition and urge them to respond positively and make these demands a part of their Election Manifesto.

Several women’s organisations have organised a Press Conference on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at the Press Club at 3 pm. This press conference will be addressed by the leaders of various women’s organisations.

We request you to send a representative and photographer/camera person of your esteemed newspaper/channel for this press conference.
